swearing in roleplays

I know that this could be boring but if you are going to use strong bad words you have to censored them.

This is the rule in TWG:

1.2.4 Swearing: TWG is a family friendly game. Swearing is not allowed. However, like television, sometimes Swearing may be appropriate to convey the proper message in a particular role play or scene. In these cases the word should be censored out so that nothing but context can determine the offending word. For example: "What the (expletive deleted)?" is acceptable. "What the h***?" is not acceptable.

What about using words like darn, heck and flip? Are they allowed?

i am not in a full knowledge of bad words in english.

at the beginning jess told me that words like damm and hell are not like big offensive words... but then i read this rule in the GM forum, so i can't say for sure.

at least i am sure that words like b!ch,f*ck or sh!t are not supposed to appear... you need to total censored those words.

but honestly words like hell and damm shouldn't be bad at all... i mean... in our first show those words were in and noone complain to me about it of the TWG staff.

i don't know if jess has experience in the TWG staff complaining about language. (we would like to hear)

about those 3 words flame... in spanish they are not offensive at all... so feel free to use them.

Hell and damn are not consider swears in all parts of the world.

So as long as its not obsessive you can get away with having one or 2.

The big ones you mentioned can not be used.

There is also a grey area.

Bastard is banned and not banned.

It depends on which TWG official your talking too.

SO I would censored it as well.

Long story short.

You can get away with the occasional "damn"

Hell is usable as twg has a match.(hell in a cell)



So you will be fine as I never got a complaint in 5 seasons and I used worst.
