Description of gimmick: Kyle Jacks is the anti-gimmick. He's frustrated that people have made a name for themselves with face-paint, stupid names and poor acting. He's tired of people taking huge risks in tiny venues, throwing themselves dozens of feet onto concrete or through tables or hitting each other with barbed wire just to get a few kids posting internet videos about them. He wants to go back to the days where wrestlers were people who could talk a good game, go out to the ring every week and put on a display of technical, quick and energetic wrestling without resorting to props or catchphrases. He wants to wade through the garbage and come out on top, showing the world that anybody can be a champion, not just those who make a fool out of themselves or pretend to be something they aren't. He makes up for this stilted point of view by being charming, funny and enthusiastic, often mocking his opponents or making fun of their own gimmick to the amusement of the fans.

Backstory: Growing up in Essex, England has its problems. It's fine to be a fan of Wrestling - as long as you keep it to yourself - but to actually try and be a wrestler leads to fair amount of mockery from family and friends. The culture is based on drinking, earning money and having a bit of status in the area, whereas training to grapple guys in tights and learn how to take a bodyslam doesn't really fit in. Kyle was always popular and respected amongst his peers due to his natural charm and good looks, but he had to keep his real passion as quiet as possible. Now having reached a level where he can compete in indie federations and look good doing it, he has finally taken the plunge and seeks to make a career from wrestling full time - and keep true to his upbringing and himself, being wary of over-dramatic gimmicks and theatrics, and preferring to just give a straight-up beating to anyone he faces.
